I stayed here a year ago and everything was fine, but coming back this time was awful. The place was dirty and smelled terrible, and the facilities were in bad shape. The towels and bed linens were dirty, the patio light didn't work, there was no iron, and there wasn't even a bedspread. A real disappointment.

The building has a concept I really liked, and arriving was completely self service, which worked well since they sent me all the details beforehand. I was in Guadalajara for work and found the place comfortable for both resting and getting more work done. The parking felt very secure, and entry there was handled through technology too. I’d come back without hesitation.

BY THE WAY, COLÓN 590 ISN'T A HOTEL. It's a residential apartment building with short term rentals, and I hope they correct that information. The management seems to care a little about guests, but not about owners or residents. There's no security or reception desk to keep track of who comes and goes, and guests aren't told what their rights and responsibilities are or what rules they need to follow so they don't disturb neighbors. Update May 3, 2024: There is NO SURVEILLANCE AND ZERO SECURITY. Short term guests robbed two rental apartments, tried to break into two residents' apartments, and stole a bicycle from the parking lot. Be careful if you stay or rent here. They say they have CCTV and only registered people can enter, but anyone can get in if they find the door open. Guests often leave it open when they come or go, or let people in because someone asks to be let into “X” apartment. They don't know who the person is, but they let them in anyway. Their remote surveillance doesn't stop strangers from entering, and it doesn't help with the noisy neighbors either. Guests and residents both have to put up with that, with nobody around to quiet things down. As a guest, who am I supposed to contact about a noisy neighbor? And vice versa?
