L. A.
There’s no parking at the hotel, and they don’t have an arrangement with any nearby lot. The sound carries so much that it’s impossible to have a private conversation in the building. Each guest has to be buzzed in, and that buzzer is loud and unpleasant, adding to the prison-like feel of the place. The rooms feel like prison cells too, with heavy metal door frames and matte glass that do nothing to block noise or light. Our bathroom was tiny and dirty, with soap scum around the faucet and a black toilet base. The shower barely dripped, and there was no hot or even warm water.
