We found this hotel after our flight was canceled and ended up staying two nights. The staff were responsive, accommodating, and helpful throughout, even though we booked at the last minute. They upgraded us to a gorgeous, clean, comfortable room. There was a hot water problem, but they fixed it in about 15 minutes, which impressed us. The rooftop pool was lovely and relaxing, and the location is convenient for lots of good restaurants. The street gets a little noisy at times, as you’d expect in such a central area. We were happy to find this place during a stressful travel disruption and would stay again.

This is a small hotel with just nine rooms. The rooms were clean and nice, the AC stayed cold during my visit when it was over 100F most days, and the complimentary breakfast was good. Everyone I met on staff was friendly and helpful, especially Gaby at the front desk. Casa Continental is in the Santa Ana area, a great base close to Paseo, lots of restaurants within walking distance, and the zocalo / Plaza Grande. I only wish my room had a mini-fridge.

The rooms were spacious and very clean, and housekeeping cleaned them right after we left. The receptionist wasn’t especially kind, but I didn’t have a problem with that. Breakfast was pretty poor and seemed somewhat frozen.
