Hotel La Piazzetta

Leo, the host, did everything he could to make us comfortable, from finding good activities to arranging transportation when we needed it. Breakfast was even arranged around what we needed. The location and staff were perfect, and breakfast was more than enough. The rooms were cute and clean, just what you need when staying abroad. This was one of the best accommodations we’ve had, and the staff were among the best we’ve met. Don’t miss it if you’re staying in Mérida!

My wife and I spent four lovely nights at Hotel La Piazzetta after finding it online several months ago and choosing it based on the reviews. After four days, our expectations had been exceeded. The bed was very comfortable, and the common areas were lovely. Outside our room window on the terrace were several huge banana plants. The cleanliness and the staff’s helpfulness and attention stood out. A special mention for Leo, the owner, who spoke at least four languages and gave us spot-on recommendations.

La Piazzetta made a great home base in Merida. The location was great, and Leo gave us activity suggestions every day, many of them free. He also connected us with car rentals and guides and looked into answers for all our questions. The hospitality was charming and welcoming. Leo greeted us with homemade teas and cucumber drinks whenever we came through the door, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying here.

Leo, Augustin and Bonbon, the sweet cat, welcomed us when we arrived. Leo also shared plenty of ideas for things to do, from free cultural events and good food spots to activities that suited our interests. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated, with lovely plants and hammocks around. Breakfast and coffee were delicious. We had such a memorable stay at La Piazzetta and hope to come back soon!
