This place is gorgeous. I was sad I could stay only one night. Our room was at the top, and there were three adults and one child. The whole room was perfect, clean, and tidy. My bed smelled so fresh, and my pillows and sheets were very soft. The bathroom was very large and clean. The hosts were polite and bilingual, which helped when my Spanish fell short. There's a kitchen and living room downstairs, and everything is very clean. The view from my window was lovely too. I'd definitely come back!

Casa Ayvar is a great choice for a visit to Coyoacan. It has private rooms with a shared bathroom, plus use of the kitchen and common room. Ricardo is a terrific host, as is Chucho, the doorman. The neighborhood is nice and quiet, just a short walk from all the action.

I had a pleasant weekend here with my dog after we had to leave home during earthquake repairs to my Mexico City apartment. The location is unbeatable, one block from the Frida Kahlo Museum, in a lovely residential neighborhood and only a ten-minute walk from the historic center. It's a family-run place, and it feels that way: cozy and welcoming, with cats and dogs roaming around and a pot of coffee warming in the kitchen. The room was basic but adequate, with no TV and a shared bathroom, but it was extremely clean. The young host, Angel, speaks fluent English and offers tours of his hometown. The price is very reasonable.

A great place to stay in Mexico City. There's Wi-Fi, the kitchen is very clean, and I slept like a baby. It's hard to find that Coyoacan neighborhood spirit elsewhere. Frida's museum, restaurants, and coffee shops are all within walking distance. Best of all, it's pet-friendly. I highly recommend it!
