The facilities are simple, but they had what we needed, including a kitchen, hot water and a place to wash clothes. The rooftop view across CDMX is amazing, too. We had a great stay at Casa Eufemia. Diana, the owner, was lovely and made us feel at home straight away. The hostel is very central, within walking distance of lots of museums and tourist spots, as well as the metro.
Lee was welcoming and really good with the guests. The hostel has lots of nice places to spend time, including a communal work area and a rooftop with hammocks, sunbeds and chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there’s a big shared fridge. The bathroom setup is convenient, too. My one suggestion for the owner would be to add better curtains, at least in the four bed female dorm, and put in a mirror.
We stayed here in December. The staff were very friendly, and the kitchen was cute and well stocked. There’s a terrace as well. The bathrooms are a bit old, though they were clean. It’s on the fourth floor of a condominium and there’s no lift, but that was fine.
Diana was super nice and accommodating. The hostel itself is really cute, with cozy common areas and a lovely view from the rooftop.
It’s fairly cheap and in a good spot, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The dorms are cramped and get hot at night. With no AC, you can leave the dorm door open, but then mosquitoes come in. The bathrooms are run down, and it’s hard to find the place from the street because there aren’t signs.
