We’d come back in a heartbeat. The location is stellar, the rooms are spacious, thoughtfully designed, and very clean, and the rest of the guest house is clean too. It’s not really a hotel, so don’t expect the usual amenities, but Omar was easy to reach whenever we needed something.

The alternative property the hotel sent us to was in terrible shape. There were ants in the bathroom, hair in the sink, and dirty nail clippings on the floor. We stayed only because we’d just landed in a foreign country and had nowhere else to go after this hotel failed to honor our booking. The whole ordeal was stressful and felt unsafe. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone, and I don’t think international travelers should have to worry that a confirmed room will be given away without warning or meaningful help. My friend and I had booked five nights through Expedia and received full confirmation. When we arrived, the hotel said the reservation had been canceled, though we’d received no email, call, or message. They claimed to have sent a chat through Expedia, but we never saw it and got no alert or email. An internal chat with no follow-up is not a responsible way to notify someone about canceling an international booking. Worse, the exact room we’d reserved was occupied by someone else, apparently paying a noticeably higher nightly rate. It made us feel our booking might have been canceled so the room could be resold for more. I can’t say if that was the intention, but that’s how it looked, and it was deeply upsetting.

Awful experience. It looked like a nice place, but the owner was dishonest. They took my money, got the booking wrong and left me stranded, then refused to refund me. I’d stay away.

I regret booking this place. It’s overpriced, and location is about the only thing it has going for it. The noise from the bar below is unbearable. I’m writing this at 12:30 am on a Tuesday because I can’t sleep. People talking on the patio sound like they’re right in my room, and the bass seems to travel through everything. Noise from the neighboring room comes through badly too. Avoid it.
