The room was spectacular. We stayed in Teo, and I loved the stunning art, beautiful room, gorgeous soaking tub, comfortable bed and sheets, amazing shower, and delightful bathroom. The soaps were lovely, too. Jorge’s warmth and hospitality made us feel at home straight away. We switched hotels halfway through our visit because the previous one, which cost more, looked much worse in person than in the photos. Coming here felt like finding an oasis and completely changed the mood of our trip. The location is perfect. I want to return to CDMX just to stay here. No notes.

The hotel feels like a traditional Mexican home, but with all the amenities you need, and the design is on another level. We loved staying at Casa Tenue during our Mexico vacation. The location is perfect, with everything nearby or just a short drive away, and the staff were so kind. They helped with our questions and luggage and showed us the complimentary drinks.

The room at Casa Tenue was amazing, and the online photos really do show what you get. We stayed in PH2 on the top floor, with an open atrium and a freestanding soaking tub. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom and shower were perfect. We didn't notice any unreasonable noise from the stairs or elsewhere in the hotel. Jorge and his coworker Samantha greeted us warmly and helped us feel at home, with recommendations for restaurants and activities. The owner and designer also checked in to see if we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. The hotel ended up being the highlight of my Mexico City trip, even though we had a great time exploring the city too. When choosing a place, I compared this with corporate owned boutique hotels. Brick, down the street and part of the Hilton family, looked tempting, but Casa Tenue's rooms looked much better in the photos. I'd happily stay here again.

The location made it easy to walk or drive to the places we wanted, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. It was lively around the hotel but still felt relaxing. Inside, our room was clean and cozy, with decorations that made it feel like visiting longtime friends or family. The staff welcomed us so warmly when we arrived and were helpful throughout, including with restaurant suggestions and our other needs. Casa Tenue was one of the highlights of our trip, and we'd definitely recommend staying here.

Breakfast each morning, with pastries from Panadería Rosetta, was such a lovely touch. The complimentary bar was fun too, and the rooms are unreal. We had friends downstairs for a pre-dinner birthday toast, and the doorman sang happy birthday and offered to take group photos. Such a sweet memory. My sister and I were there for our 30th birthdays, and Jon, the general manager, made the stay feel extra special. After hearing we were celebrating, he offered us a complimentary upgrade to an available penthouse suite for the night, with a bottle of champagne. When our dinner plans fell through, he arranged several backup options for us. There are stairs to climb, though Jon helped with our luggage. The design and atmosphere made it worth it. Casa Tenue was a perfect end to our first visit to CDMX, and we’ll be back.
