The decor was beautiful, but staying here felt more like being in a mid-tier Airbnb with nice styling than a comfortable or luxurious hotel. We booked the presidential suite, where a strange bathroom odor seeped into the bedroom. The windows and walls were thin, and most of the room door was glass, so outside noise came through easily. I chose it hoping for the personal boutique experience mentioned in reviews, but service was mixed. Everyone was nice, though the interactions didn't feel personal. The reception and concierge staff couldn't answer basic questions, like where to get coffee nearby, which surprised me. They did make lovely cupcakes and treats for my husband's birthday, and I appreciated that. Maybe we just caught an off week. Still, there are plenty of CDMX options that cost less, are more comfortable, and offer more thoughtful, kind service.

The staff made a real difference during my stay, especially Alejandro at reception. He was kind, professional, and always ready to answer questions or point me in the right direction. Everyone seemed attentive and willing to help. The hotel felt calm and comfortable, and it was clear that the team took care of the place. My room was in excellent condition, with air conditioning, a TV, a private bathroom, a safe, and a minibar, plus thoughtful details that made it more comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with good variety, and served in a peaceful setting. The complimentary drinks were another nice extra. The location made it easy to get to the main attractions nearby, and the price was excellent value for the money. It would work well for business or for a relaxing, uncomplicated stay. Hotel Casa Cuenca is a charming place, and the service really stands out. I highly recommend it and would like to return.

The morning cappuccinos and fresh grapefruit juice are something I’ll keep dreaming about. My husband and I spent eight nights here, and even though the area felt very safe, the place also felt tucked away enough to be our own little oasis. Such a beautiful, special stay.

Breakfast at Hotel Casa Cuenca was varied and delicious, served in a peaceful setting, and the staff were happy to answer questions. They were welcoming and helpful throughout, from check-in to sharing local recommendations, and that personal attention made the stay feel comfortable. The rooms were spotless and had air conditioning, a TV, private bathroom, safe, minibar, and other thoughtful touches. The hotel is conveniently placed for getting to the main sights, and I thought it offered excellent value for money. The atmosphere was comfortable and clean, with warm service. I’d recommend Hotel Casa Cuenca to both business travelers and anyone looking for a relaxing stay. It’s charming, and the hospitality made me want to return.

We still haven't received the € 173,90 refund, and no one has replied. We booked a room, but the one offered was so noisy it felt like sleeping out on the street. We were tired and needed a proper night's rest, so we spoke to the staff and explained what was going on. They said they could cancel the booking and give us a full refund. They never did. This place steals money. Avoid!
