I grew up in Mexico City and know the neighborhood well, so I was excited when my husband suggested this apartment for our weeklong vacation. We booked eight nights for six adults and one child. The location really is fantastic: Chapultepec, Reforma, great restaurants, and lots of transport options are all within walking distance. Still, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The pictures are misleading, and the place is run down and poorly maintained. There was dust everywhere, which I could overlook in a big, busy city, but the showers were moldy and dirty. Each bathroom had just one partly used toilet paper roll, so we had to buy our own toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, dish soap, detergent, garbage bags, and other basics. There were no other toiletries, one hair dryer didn’t work, and we had no extra linens or pillows. There’s an electric kettle but no coffee maker. For the first three mornings, we had no hot water. At one point black residue came out of the shower in one bathroom. A notice to residents said the building had plumbing problems. Contacting the property was difficult and slow. The doorman was the one helpful person, a pleasure to deal with and always willing to assist, even though it wasn’t part of his job. Thanks for reading, I hope this helps.
