The central location made it easy to walk to the Zocalo and reach the tours we had planned. We felt safe on the streets even at night, and there are other good restaurants and small shops nearby. The breakfast buffet was amazing, with fresh bread, fruit, meats, juices, and a hot kitchen where you can order other dishes. Definitely add it when booking. The ground-floor restaurant has a varied menu, and they bring bread while you wait. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself was clean and safe. For a nice view of the cathedral and city, grab a drink at the balcony bar.

I've stayed here several times over the years and always look forward to coming back to Mexico City. The staff provide exceptional service, and the rooms are consistently very clean. The buffet breakfast is perfect, the restaurant serves excellent food, and it's easy to get around on foot or travel to other places. Thank you!

The hotel is right across from the Zocalo, and there are several terraces guests can use. You can also see pyramid ruins on the lower level from the main floor. It's a beautiful place. My family and I stayed one night in mid-May. Everyone who helped us, from arrival through checkout, was incredibly kind and helpful. The food was delicious, more like homemade than typical hotel food. Our waitress kindly explained the menu in detail and made suggestions for our 1-year-old. We had a great experience and hope to return.

The location is hard to beat, right beside the Cathedral, El Templo Mayor Museum, and Zocalo, with other attractions and shopping a short walk away. We liked the queen beds, free snacks and cold drinks in the mini fridge, and the in-room coffee maker. Each floor has a terrace with cathedral views, and the interior rooms had a better view than I expected. The glass floor over the ruins was also a cool feature. During the difficult circumstances, breakfast and drinks were free, and the bread and butter were especially good. Protests made it hard to enjoy the area during our stay. We had to walk about 15 minutes to reach the hotel through packed streets with vendors and protest tents, hauling five suitcases with my husband and two teenage kids. It felt like the opening scene of "Man on Fire," and I'm not sure many people could manage it. This isn't the hotel's fault, but protests may be a recurring issue, so keep that in mind. There was also loud partying in the next room. The hotel didn't address it after I went down by elevator at 12 am to complain, since I couldn't call from the room.

The location puts you right in the middle of everything, and the rooftop bar is a lovely place for a drink. Getting an uber elsewhere can be slow in rush-hour traffic, so you might want to walk a bit before ordering one. Our beds were comfortable, the rooms clean and well kept, and breakfast was quite good. The staff were kind, too. A great experience.
