The restaurant is better than average, and the beds are comfortable. We’ve returned to the Lisboa many times and it’s never let us down; the hotel is clean, too. Basement parking can be tight, with cars sometimes parked behind each other. Let the desk know ahead of time and your car usually won’t be blocked. At worst, you may have to wait a few minutes.

For a reasonable budget, I’d recommend staying here, especially if you need to be near two of the city’s biggest hospitals and don’t expect luxury. I stayed in one of the suites, which seems to be as good as this hotel gets. It’s comfortable and the price feels fair to good. The Wi-Fi was patchy, there was no remote for the mini split, and the room had no fridge, coffee maker, or microwave.

The AC was so noisy that I asked for maintenance, and they basically told me to deal with it. There was no small fridge or coffee pot either. I arrived around 12 am on Friday after calling xochilt to ask whether a room was available. Customer service said there were none, but after I backed up, he said he had one if I paid him 200 for coffee. I didn’t care about the money, but that didn’t seem right. There were no towels in the room, and they got mad when I asked for some. They were really annoying. I also asked one person for an AC remote, and he said he’d leave it in the room. Later that night I was home, so I paid 200 pesos and got some attitude in return. I was surprised to find the hotel in such bad shape. I don’t recommend it, 00000 thanks.

I ended up eating at the first floor restaurant every day of my stay, and Hotel Lisboa was surprisingly affordable at $1,010 pesos a night. I’d gladly recommend it when visiting Mexico City. I was there this past December 2019, after escaping a horrible, dirty, cold, old room at Casa Hidalgo in Coyoacan. Someone strongly recommended Hotel Lisboa, so I took a taxi there and was happily surprised by how pretty, clean, and high quality it felt. It also felt undeniably safe. The rooms are spacious and cleaned daily, with free wi-fi, hot water and excellent pressure, a heater, air conditioner, thick curtains that block the sunlight, cable TV, free local calls, toiletries, a table and chairs or desk, a free security box, and taxi service. The employees were courteous and helpful. The amenities made the price especially good. I’d paid $900 pesos a night at Casa Hidalgo, and it was a dump.
