Casa Aura

I stayed in the Jacarandas room, which had its own bathroom. That isn’t the case for every room, so it depends on which one you book. The place is quiet, nice, and well located. There’s an iron, hair straightener, dryer, air conditioning, and fan in the room. In the common area, there’s a mini-fridge and everything needed to make coffee or tea. I’d definitely return.

The owner was so kind and friendly. I don’t speak much Spanish, and when I accidentally left my key inside and got locked out, I panicked and called. They came to let me in right away. The room was modern and clean, and the quiet setting, about a 15-minute walk from the city center, made it easy to sleep. There was occasional barking from dogs, though I think that’s common everywhere in Mexico. The shower pressure felt weaker than in Japan, but I guess that’s how it is in Mexico. Hotels get very expensive around the Day of the Dead, while this place was reasonably priced. I recommend it.

They left us complimentary water and snacks, and the bed was comfortable. Everything was very clean, the bathroom was pretty and in great shape, with good pressure and hot water. Towels, shampoo, and shower gel were provided. They’re pet friendly too, with little dishes and a bed for our pet. In the shared area there’s a small minibar and a coffee maker with complimentary coffee. The price is affordable, and I think it’s an excellent option. If we come back to Oaxaca, we’ll definitely try to stay here again. Thank you 😊

The Pochote room was clean and pleasant, a nice place to relax after tours, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large and spotless. It’s also in a beautiful area that’s great for walking around. There’s a shared minibar and coffee maker with everything you need, which is a nice bonus.
