The service was great and the food was good, so I’d recommend the place either way. Just be aware the photos you see when searching for it don’t match the rooms exactly. The two-bed room felt a bit small, and the air conditioners need servicing. I can’t say whether the one-bed rooms look nicer or have more space.

The room was clean and nicely decorated, with a comfortable, spacious king bed, a vanity, a table, and a shower that got hot right away. They also left two bottles of water each day, and there was a coffee maker and safe. We’d stay again, but ask for the second floor since restaurant noise in our first-floor room lasted until around 11 pm. The location worked really well for us. Centro, Santa Domingo church, and Jalatlaco were all a 10-12 minute walk away. The restaurant is at the front, with a 24-hour security guard, and reception is beyond it. We arrived around 9 am and they held our luggage, though early check-in wasn’t possible, so we waited until a few minutes after 3 pm. Day reception staff spoke English and Spanish; overnight staff mostly spoke Spanish. There’s a rooftop terrace that opens at 8 am, and a lovely, leafy courtyard, though there aren’t many other common areas. We also used the laundry service: leave a bag outside the room in the morning and tell the desk, then collect it there in the afternoon. It’s charged by weight, and ours came to about $15 USD.

The staff were super friendly, and the rooms were clean with daily housekeeping. The location couldn’t have been better. This was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at, even by European standards. I’d book here again if I return to Oaxaca.

It’s a cozy little boutique hotel right in the heart of Oaxaca, with a lovely charm and a fantastic location. The staff are especially sweet and always seem ready to make your stay feel special.
