The price is very good, but you get what you pay for. The room had no windows, was very basic, and the whole stay was only okay. At least the people working there were nice. The walls are paper-thin, so we could hear staff playing music all night to stay awake. We asked for a quieter room but didn’t get one. One night, at 6 a.m., three people were loudly discussing what to wear for the day in the lobby just outside our room. Two different people asked them to be quiet, but they refused. The cold-water tap in the shower was broken, and we got one towel for two people.

The beds are comfortable, though the single ones are a bit hard. Shared bathrooms are small but clean, and the place feels cozy with its wood details. They keep it smelling nice, and the service is excellent. There’s no air conditioning, but the local climate makes it unnecessary. There’s no parking either, though the area is quiet and you can leave a car on the street. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the main square (zócalo). If you’re in San Cristóbal mainly to sleep at the hotel and don’t mind sharing the bathroom and shower, it’s a very good experience for the price. Recommended for backpackers :)

Really cheap, and the reception staff were super attentive. It’s a comfortable, nice hostel. The downside was having to use the shared showers because there are no bathrooms in the rooms. It was cold, so coming out of the shower meant freezing. Apart from that, everything was perfect.
