The rooftop ended up being the best part of staying at Hotel Hafa. It has a lovely view across town and is a great place to sit with a drink and take things slowly. The staff were also warm, attentive, and easy to feel comfortable around. Our room was clean and functional, but fairly ordinary. The bathroom wasn’t fully enclosed, which could feel awkward, especially after eating Sayulita’s spicy food. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, though I would have liked to know about the setup beforehand.

We were happy with our stay when my friend and I came last April. The room was comfortable, clean, and had its own character. The staff were really friendly, and the mild noise didn’t bother us. The location was hard to beat. We’ll come back.

Be ready for the town noise and nightlife, though we loved it. This small family hotel feels like a beautiful oasis in fun, artsy Sayulita. The rooftop is heaven, and the attached bar Zuave is so good. The staff make a real effort to help you feel welcome and at home. I love this place.

The rooftop pool and lounge area were epic, and the hotel is right downtown, just a three minute walk from the beach. The staff and service were great. Our room’s AC didn’t work, but opening the windows and turning on the fan helped a lot.

The room was clean and had a cool style. I had some trouble with the dog arrangements, but the owner made things right, so I’m glad to leave a positive review. Keep in mind that Hotel Hafa requires a $200 USD pet deposit in cash, if that still isn’t clear on its Google Maps page. I suggested taking the deposit by card and charging a fair fee for welcoming pet owners, so everyone is happy. It would also be nice to have access to staff at night. It was loud and a little hard to rest, though that’s to be expected right downtown.
