Hotel Palmas Teotihuacan

I've stayed in Teotihuacan twice now, and everything has been very good. The hotel is in a secure, quiet area, just two blocks from the plaza, and it's non-smoking. Rooms are plain and cost around $60 to $70, but they're clean and smoke-free, and the service is great. Everyone is very nice. 100% recommended.

The room felt a little cold because the weather was cloudy and cold. Otherwise, I enjoyed the visit. The food was delicious, the place was very clean, and the prices were good value. We had cheese sticks to start, the drinks were cool, and the music was quiet while the atmosphere stayed lively. Our waitress was friendly, fast, and kept checking if we needed anything. You can eat in the garden or inside. It's downtown in San Juan, with nearby places close at hand. I'd go back, and recommend it if you want good food in a relaxed place with a nice atmosphere.

The grounds are a big part of what makes this small, locally owned hotel so peaceful. The gardens are full of flowers, butterflies, and singing birds, with church bells in the distance and lovely views throughout. Teotihucán's local charm and history are all around. Fabio, his wife, and the staff were warm, thoughtful, and attentive, and made us feel like family. The rooms were comfortable, and each visit feels like coming home. I've enjoyed returning here, and find it a relaxing, rejuvenating break. A lovely choice for a quiet stay with local character and welcoming service.

We only went to the restaurant. The atmosphere was good, but the food wasn't. My salmon was okay, but my mother's was over-frozen and undercooked. The chicken broth soup wasn't good at all.
