The staff stayed polite and tried to help despite everything. The valet attendants were prompt and courteous, and although there was no manager on duty, the team members remained friendly and professional. The valet-only parking was a hassle, though. Every quick stop meant handing over the car and waiting to get something from it, and tipping every time added up. The complimentary breakfast was disappointing, just eggs and coffee, and neither looked appetizing. The hotel doesn’t feel like the quality it used to. For the price, it feels more like an oversized roadside motel than a reputable place. When we arrived there was no running water, and it didn’t return until late evening, so most of the day we couldn’t shower or even brush our teeth. After that, the Wi-Fi in our room didn’t work. We reported it several times and were told they’d look into it, but nothing changed. We needed Wi-Fi for work and studying, so we asked to change rooms the next day. The new room had no working Wi-Fi either. They initially told us to work and study in the lobby, and only after further complaints did they let us use the business area.

The only good service I got was from the restaurant server and the valet team. The place is old and seems like it hasn’t had maintenance in a long time, and it wasn’t worth the money. I’m never staying at this “4-star” hotel again. My second day was awful: the Wi-Fi didn’t work, housekeeping was late, and a loud party with a Mariachi on the patio disturbed me while I was trying to rest. The manager, Omar, was rude and never apologized for what I called about. Even in the morning they played music around 7 am and wouldn’t let us rest. The receptionist was rude too. It was a really bad experience, and I don’t recommend it.

The new room had no bathroom exhaust fan, so smells and shower humidity seeped into the bedroom. Disgusting. I barely got any rest and was cranky in the morning. I won’t go back. The hotel is getting old and isn’t well kept. I was there about a week ago during a tropical phenomenon, with hot, muggy, rainy weather, and the AC in my first room didn’t work. On my first call for help, the operator hung up because she didn’t understand me. They sent a tech on the second call who supposedly tried to fix the thermostat, without success. After a couple of hours in the heat and mugginess, I asked to change rooms. The operator said he’d send another tech before considering that. Another failed attempt meant another hour waiting. I called a third time and asked to move, but the operator said he didn’t know why the techs weren’t fixing it, offered to send fans, and again declined my request for another room. Another hour passed with no fans and no AC. When I called again and said I’d leave unless they moved me, they sent help right away.

A quiet, serene upscale hotel with pleasant, friendly people who were accommodating. My king room was large, and there’s a nice restaurant and bar lounge. It’s close to the Tijuana arch and Tijuana airport. They have valet, a free airport shuttle, and free breakfast.
