Ibis Tijuana Zona Rio

The rooms are comfortable, and the location makes everything in Tijuana convenient. The best tacos in the world are right across the street at Tacos El Franc, there's an Oxxo next door, and the famous Mercado Hidalgo is an easy walk away.

We'd stayed here several times without any problems, and the location is good. Franks has great tacos across the street, and Mercado hildago is a short walk away. This visit had a few little hassles: there were no towels, the TV wouldn't work until we did some troubleshooting, and the shower door wouldn't close. Maintenance fixed the door. None of that will stop us coming back. For the price and location, it's great.

We needed somewhere quickly after problems with our Air BnB reservation. The host hadn't communicated, so we couldn't get into the condo building. I searched for dog friendly places and found Ibis hotel. I'm glad I did, since they welcome pets and I had my mini schnauzer with me. The whole hotel was squeaky clean, the rooms were exceptionally clean, and the staff were helpful and friendly. We felt safe the whole time and will definitely return. Thanks to Ibis hotel and staff!

The breakfast itself was pretty good, and the room was clean. Parking was free, which seemed fair given how pricey the room felt. But the coffee situation was strange: after we'd been eating for about half an hour, someone stopped me for using the buffet machine and said it had to be paid for by card. There were no signs saying that, and then they checked whether breakfast was even included in our booking. I wasn't expecting table service at a buffet, so getting chased down over coffee felt odd. I wouldn't stay again.
