The room was clean, but the service was awful. Waiting for food or any other help took forever. The power went out for 12 hours one day, and nobody explained why. My card worked everywhere else in Tulum, but not on their system. Getting a taxi was unbelievably difficult unless you knew someone. At checkout at 7 in the morning, the woman inspected the room closely and then pointed out two washcloths still in the basket in the shower, saying that was protocol. I've stayed at plenty of hotels, and that's not protocol. I won't stay here again.

I booked the whole property through Airbnb for my 40th birthday, since I needed all 10 rooms for 23 guests. I made the reservation in June for November, but on Tuesday 11/9 my Airbnb host told me the owner had cancelled our 11/11 booking. The host managed to find us somewhere else, but the owner gave no explanation. Most of my weekend plans were supposed to happen at the hotel, so I had to rearrange everything just two days ahead. Some birthday. Airbnb refunded the $4k after the host cancelled. I would never stay here or support this place, and I'll be telling several Tulum groups I'm in.

The roads outside are in rough shape. I drive a Tesla Model 3 and scraped it a few times getting around. The rooms themselves are good for a reasonable rate, and there's a nice restaurant downstairs with friendly service.

Renters, beware. We booked months ahead, then only three days before arrival they told us the reservation had been double booked. The owner bumped us because the other booking was longer, even though ours had been made first. A shady way to do business. Do not book this hotel.

The coffee was better than Starbucks, and the drink prices were fair. We also tried the Mexican pizza, which was a good choice. The staff were great and the food was delicious 😋.
