T+ Hotel Sungai Korok

On my second visit, I found the room had only two wall outlets, both taken up by the TV and lamp. My first room had three, but only one was usable, so worth checking if you need to plug things in. The shower is great, with strong pressure and adjustable temperature. The room was clean and cozy, the A/C worked well, and I had towels, soap, cups, bottled water, instant coffee and a kettle. Wi-Fi averaged 27 Mbps for me. The lobby also has hot and cold water. Soundproofing was okay: I heard housekeeping, but not the traffic from the main road. Getting there was confusing even with Google Maps, and the hotel is set apart from shops, restaurants and convenience stores. There’s no elevator, though it’s only two floors. Mobile data was weak on my U Mobile prepaid, around 1.16 Mbps. I didn’t ask about breakfast or try the TV channels. For what I paid, it worked well for a quick trip. These comments are based on the single queen room I stayed in.

The hotel is handy for the highway exit, and parking is decent. Check-in and checkout times weren’t restricted. Rooms are moderately sized and reasonably priced, with free Wi-Fi and good room service. There’s no lift, just stairs, and the hallway is narrow but fairly quiet.

We stayed two nights for a holiday. The room was spacious and had its own window, though cleanliness was only just okay for the price. The Wi-Fi was steady enough for Netflix, while the TV had few channels and mostly served as background noise. There’s no lift, so you’ll need to take the stairs to the second floor. Towels, a kettle, two bottles of water, soap and a hairdryer were in the room, with an iron outside. No fridge. The room wasn’t very soundproof, but that was fine for us since we only used it to sleep and rest. It’s easy to spot beside the main road, though the approach gets quite dark at night. Shops are a fair distance away, so having your own transport is better unless you use delivery.

You get fair value for the price, and the bathroom has good water pressure. The door doesn’t fully cover the opening, though. There’s no elevator, and no toothbrush or toothpaste in the room. Those omissions would have been fine if they’d been mentioned beforehand, but it was disappointing to find out on arrival.
