The staff were quick and really helpful, and breakfast had plenty to choose from. I was here for training at IKEA Batu Kawan, which was only about a four-minute walk away. The room had a minimalist, attractive design and the shower pressure was great. Since I was on level 1, though, I had to wait around 10 minutes for the water heater. I’d stay here again next time I’m in Batu Kawan.

The staff are really friendly, and for a short stay the place works well. There’s a bar and swimming pool on Level 4, plus a convenience store, two laundries and Caltex nearby, with Ikea and Decathon farther along. The twin room is small, and the washbasin is outside the bathroom. Breakfast is basic. I wouldn’t want to stay longer, though, because the mattress is uncomfortable.

There’s a dispenser outside the room to refill your bottle, since no water bottle is provided in the room. The room is compact but has what you need for a comfortable stay, and it’s good value for money.

Everything else about the hotel was great, but breakfast was a letdown. At 9am the buffet was completely empty, with no food, plates, bowls, cups or cutlery, and nothing was refilled. The hotel should prepare enough based on the number of breakfast vouchers for the day. At RM23 per person, it wasn’t worth it. I want a refund of RM23 for each of the four people.

Akmal was so attentive and gave great service. He really seems suited to hospitality, at its finest. I’d recommend staying at or booking this hotel for family and friends.
