This was so, so bad and highly disappointing. The booking confirmation said check-in was available from 3 pm onwards, but we weren't allowed to check in after 10 pm. We had to wait another hour for a replacement, and pay extra on top of what I'd already paid in advance. I won't trust OYO homestay again. Never again!

The price is reasonable, and it has a swimming pool and gym, so it can be a nice place for student accommodation. Security is very strict: you need a card to enter the building and to use the elevator. But be very careful about renting from Mustafa the Egyptian or his Libyan friend. I know many people, including me, who were robbed through insurance and never got their money back. They took 1800 ringgit from me, and I didn't get a penny back. They tamper with the electricity meters, so the lowest bill we could get was 400 ringgit a month, sometimes as high as 800 ringgit. The electricity was often cut off because the Englishman wasn't paying the landlord. If you want to rent here, I'd advise choosing the 26th floor or higher, since the apartments and rooms below the 25th floor are very bad.
