Cenanghill Beachfront Langkawi

After spending two nights here, I travelled to other parts of the island, then came back for three more nights. The view stood out compared with other places. It was wonderfully quiet, and everyone was helpful and friendly, from reception to the lads on the beach serving food and drinks. Ali and Zain became good friends. I’d love to visit the island again and stay here. Thanks for everything, guys.

There’s a wide range of food nearby, from burgers to Indian dishes, and the coffee was very good. The beach was calm and clean, right by the hotel. Sunbeds cost 45 MYR per lounger, a fair price for such a touristy area. Service was great, especially the hospitality from our waiter Zain. Highly recommend.

We were drawn in by the nice tables set out on the sand, but the meal was awful. We ordered chicken tikka masala and vegetable curry, and waited nearly an hour. The vegetable dish was corn and carrots covered in a boxed curry mix, apparently the same curry used for the chicken. Both were so salty we couldn’t eat them. The mango lassi didn’t seem to contain any mango either. The bill arrived quickly once the food finally did, and at 185 it felt like a ripoff. I’d avoid this beach restaurant.

I tried the car with my wife for the first time, and it was fun apart from one operator who was disrespectful for no reason. He claimed I had touched the accelerator, but I hadn’t. I showed the video to the woman in charge, where you can see I didn’t touch it. She was respectful and apologized for him. Everyone else I encountered among the staff was very nice.
