The one good thing is how close it is to the bus station. The receptionist was very unfriendly, and the TV picture was poor, with only five channels. I visited over Chinese New Year, and fireworks could be heard from dusk until dawn, roughly from 6:00 am until 2:00 am. Many nearby restaurants were closed, and some places listed on Google were permanently shut. A lot of the menu items weren’t available either. There was a little pocket in the wall beside the bed for the remote control, but it was full of cigarette butts and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. The room stank of cigarette smoke, and leaving the windows open for several days didn’t get rid of it. The hotel is overpriced for the service it provides, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

The hotel’s location is handy, with restaurants, a mart, and other needs nearby, and the price is reasonable. My room was large and nice, big enough for a family of seven, with two large beds and an okay toilet. I’d recommend the hotel, though it seems to depend on luck whether you get a good room or a bad one, since some rooms are in better shape than others. There’s no lift, and the hallway and lobby aren’t air-conditioned, so hauling our things to the room left us hot and sweaty.

We stayed two nights last month for my polytechnic convocation on 13/09/24. We’d booked a family room. It had just been renovated, was clean and spacious, and the service was great.

The staff were super friendly, and the room was clean. WiFi was good too. The air-conditioning just wouldn’t get cold, and the water pressure was too low to use the water heater. The water dispenser has both hot and cold water, but it’s only on the ground floor.

For RM80.00 a night, I got three single beds, but the TV didn’t work and the air-conditioning wasn’t cold enough for such a big room. The toilet smelled, and its broken lock meant I couldn’t lock the door. At least there was a Coway water purifier, since there wasn’t a water heater in the room.
