D' Coconut Pulau Besar Resort

I spent most of my time outdoors, snorkeling right from shore and enjoying the beautiful marine life. The sea is usually calm, and the water is a clear emerald greenish blue. The beach is lovely, and the buffet is decent enough for all three meals. It's a tranquil island and, if you're not fussy about having a 5-star property, a good place to stay. I was happy there and hope to return soon.

The dining area has a phenomenal view, and the central pavilion also has a mini-library and pool table. It's a quiet resort set apart from the others, with extra room for privacy and relaxation. The rooms look like huts from outside, but inside they're well furnished and air-conditioned. There are nice facilities, including a pool with deck chairs.

The bed bugs were the worst part by far. I asked to move rooms, but on the second night I was bitten again and had itchy marks all over. We cut our stay short and asked to cancel the last night, but the staff showed little understanding or helpfulness, and we weren't refunded for the prepaid night. As another guest had said, this was the worst resort I've stayed in, despite travelling all over SEA for years. The facilities were run-down and dirty, and the food was bland for the price. Avoid it.

The food costs too much for the amount they give you. It just isn't worth it.
