What stood out most was how warm and polite the staff were. I felt welcome even though I was in a different country. The breakfast buffet was simple, with good options, and an easy way to start the day. My room was clean and spacious, with everything I needed, and I loved waking up to the sea and city view. Hotel Sandakan made my trip to Sabha much easier. It’s right in the centre, so I could walk to places like the Sandakan Heritage Trail and Harbour Mall Sandakan without much planning. The stay was smooth and comfortable, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Sandakan who wants a central, easy place to stay. ✨

After a long time travelling, the legendary coffee was a real saving grace. The buffet lunch was a lovely little stop during our tour around Sabah. There was a stir fry bar where you could choose the noodle style, wet or dry, and sauces, alongside nice malay dishes and desserts. The chefs made me a great dry seafood dish in black bean sauce. The city-center location makes it easy to get around, which was the main reason the stay was decent. The room and facilities are quite basic. Most places close early, so there aren’t many nighttime options, and the area can feel quiet and a bit dark. It works for a short stay if you just need a simple place to rest.

The rooms were lovely and clean, and breakfast was a great buffet. Shops and restaurants are close, and Grab and taxis are easy to access. An excellent place to stay in Sandakan, well worth a visit!

The location is super convenient. It’s an old but decent hotel, with no trouble getting a shower, a good mattress, and a good breakfast. The man at reception was super kind and friendly. It costs 100rm plus, so what more would you expect?
