Sipadan Palm Resort

The receptionist was really kind, but that was about the only good part. The rooms are in poor condition, the electricity keeps cutting out, and it’s impossible to get any rest with the bar’s karaoke blasting nearby. I’d definitely look for somewhere else.

The rooms are simple but clean, and the staff are really welcoming and keen to make sure you’re comfortable. It’s a great concept and the rooms are well cared for. There’s a bar on site, but I’d stick with canned beer since the draught lines need cleaning.

The place is outside Semporna town, though they provide free rides into town. It’s about the size of a container, so it felt quite small for three people. Cleanliness was just okay, and the water pressure was low at times.

My friend recommended this place, and it’s a pretty quiet, laid-back spot to stay. They have a shuttle van into town, and at night you can sing karaoke and have a beer.
