The air conditioner kept stopping every 30 minutes and had to be reset each time. When I told the receptionists, one just said, "Hah, aircond rosak?" and then ignored me at the counter. I wish they had simply said, "Terima kasih inform, kami minta maaf ya ada kekurangan." Check-in itself went smoothly when we arrived at 2 am, but remember to have RM50 ready for the deposit. That's why I'm making a complaint here.
The room was full of mosquitoes even with the air conditioning on, and I woke up several times from the itchy bites. At checkout we were in a hurry to get our deposit back, but the receptionist was never there. A notice said they were on a 10-minute bathroom break, yet all the guests in the lobby waited longer than that. We left and came back two hours later, but the receptionist still wasn't there. If nobody is at the desk, why have a receptionist? A kiosk would do. I hardly ever leave bad reviews, but even one star feels too generous.
The room needs attention, especially the cleanliness and upkeep. There was dirty, rusty water in the kettle, and the sheets had several stains that looked like sweat and blood, plus a large stain from some unknown liquid. Hair and black bits of dirt, like dead skin, were scattered mostly across the middle of the bed. The window had been left open, and its handle was broken, possibly by a previous guest without staff noticing. The bathroom ceiling fan was so loud I had to keep it off most of the time. The front desk woman and the man who arranged the airport transfer were nice. I came for one night after a late flight, having seen recommendations on xhs.
Our bedsheets were dirty, and the staff were extremely rude. They even poured floor chemicals near a baby. Our family left our bags while waiting for the car to the airport, and they got mad at us even though checkout wasn't until 12:00 pm and it was only 9:40 am. This hotel might get sued one day!
The staff were friendly, at least. But the online pictures make the place look far better than it is, and our room felt like something from a 1970s communist Russian movie. We killed about six mosquitoes before giving up and going to bed. In the bathroom, there was nowhere to set a toothbrush and toothpaste together, and the shower was over the toilet. In the middle of the night, I sat on a wet toilet while my pajama bottoms soaked up water from the floor. The next morning we could hear the neighbours using their toilet through a pipe that seemed to run about 10 cm from the head of the bed. We went out searching for breakfast and decent coffee, walked for around 40 minutes, then gave up and went back to MacDonald's. That tells you how desperate we were. No, we didn't enjoy the stay.
