The beds were comfortable, and there’s a lot more privacy here than in other dorms. We stayed at DownTown Bunkers soon after it opened. The owner was super friendly, and we ended up having a long talk about Malaysia. Small hostel, but nice and clean.

It’s a good value for backpackers, and the small town is close enough to explore on foot. There’s food and drink available, plus a Starbucks right downstairs. The setup is a room with six bunks. I’m not sure it would suit a family since the hall and toilet are shared, which could be inconvenient.

There’s a damp, odd smell in this dorm, and the staff were rude, one person or maybe two. There’s no sign under the roof either, so you could have trouble finding it.
