Twin Star Hotel

The room was fine, but there was no shower cream, shampoo, soap, coffee or tea sachet. A hot and cold water dispenser is outside the room. The Chinese receptionist at the counter during checkout was friendly. Prices go up a bit during Deepavali.

I asked at the counter about a double room and was first told they were all occupied, so I was ready to leave. Just then a room became available, and I paid quickly because I wanted to rest. But the bed was covered in dust, and the toilet looked as if it hadn't been cleaned for a while. I went downstairs right away to ask for a refund and ask how they could give me a room like that. The receptionist said she'd check, went up for ten minutes, then came back without apologizing and said there'd be no refund, only a move to a two-single-bed room. By then I'd lost confidence in the other rooms and only wanted my money back. She said an online payment couldn't be refunded. After I kept pressing her about the poor service, she called her boss. The boss first asked what race I was. When she said I was Chinese, the boss said a refund was possible. What a ridiculous racist question. I thanked the receptionist for helping and said I'd wait for the refund. One star because there are no refunds.

They added charges when I arrived. I know hotels often charge extra for another adult, but this charge came with nothing extra, no bed or pillow. I wasted RM80. I paid RM413 for two nights, which is a lot for such a basic, unclean room with no window. I disliked it and wouldn't recommend it. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Today's massage was lovely and really relaxing. I'd definitely recommend it.
