Auberge du Mocambo - Hostel

There's a guest parking area, and the price is good. I don't think you'll find a better one in town. The hotel's old and so are the rooms, but everything was still good and clean. The location is great, with nice views toward the marina and a supermarket, restaurants, beach, ATM, and car rentals all within walking distance. Staff are really friendly and helpful, and available nearly 24/7. There's a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, making it easy to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner and chat with other travellers. The clean rooms have private bathrooms with hot showers, plenty of plugs, a fridge, a comfy bed, and nice views. WiFi worked great in the rooms, but not in the kitchen area. Maybe there's another network. I can totally recommend this place.

A lovely staff and a clean, well kept place make this a great budget pick in Noumea, whether you want a dorm or a private room. The kitchen has space for chilled groceries and lets you cook your own meals. The bar downstairs makes weekends noisy, but it's peaceful during the week. Great if you're on a budget.

The room had heaps of space, plus a kettle, microwave, and fridge. The bed was comfy and the aircon quiet. Location was okay. One window was missing its latch, so I couldn't shut it, and it got a bit noisy at times.

There’s a shared kitchen guests can use, and the Wi-Fi was good. The room was reasonably comfortable. It’s a very basic hotel, but it worked for what we needed.
