Hotel Xalteva

After a day exploring Granada, the pool is a relaxing place to cool off. The rooms are roomy and comfortable, and balconies look out toward Mombacho volcano. This Condo-Hotel sits right in the center, with parks and sights close enough to reach on foot. Staff helped us find attractions, sort out transport and tours, and shared useful local tips. Breakfast was lovely too, with coffee, fruit, and birdsong.

The hot water was the one real letdown. We couldn't get it much beyond lukewarm, even after I figured out the hot handle was on the right. I first thought the breakers needed more time. Still, this was a terrific room and stay for what you'd usually get at a Central American hotel. The place looked just like the photos, which I hadn't expected, and our room included a kitchen, dining space, and living room. The staff were attentive and eager to help. Breakfast choices were limited, but what we had was delicious. Security was excellent, though the neighborhood looked safe and we felt fine walking around. The pool is small but pleasant, with a genuinely deep end. Keep the internet code handy, since it connects you to the strongest signal. It's a hot walk of more than 15 minutes to the square, but the hotel is good value. Granada is beautiful, with enough to keep you busy for days. We'll return to the city and stay at the Xalteva again.

We had a great visit and would happily book here again. The rooms were quiet and clean, with an extremely comfortable bed. Staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. It's a really nice hotel and condo facility.

We stayed here in February 2017 and had a really nice time. The airport pickup worked very well for us. There's a night security guard, breakfast is served in the morning, and the pool gets sun all day.
