We had a great time at the Generator during a pub crawl. The location is really cool, and the staff were so much fun. Anastasia at the bar was especially friendly and helpful, and we had a great chat. She made the night feel extra special. I’d recommend starting your night here with a few relaxed drinks before heading out.

We stayed in “The lux king” and got exactly what the pictures showed: a clean, spacious room. The staff were really nice and attentive, and the location is great, with the tram a five-minute walk away. It was a very good experience, and I’d definitely come back.

I spent 28 days in a pod at Generator Amsterdam and came away with a very good impression. The pod was comfortable even for a longer stay, and the reception team were consistently kind and genuinely helpful. The location is excellent, and the hostel services are well organized. I’d just like the bathrooms and showers to be cleaned more often and looked after a bit more carefully. Even so, I had a positive stay and would recommend it.

I’m still here, so the stay isn’t over yet, but it’s going well so far. The service has been very kind, the room is clean, and breakfast is good. The dorm is comfortable, with plenty of space in the box under the bed, and the bathroom is really comfortable too. I couldn’t have picked a better place!

The building is lovely, full of character, and has some interesting diagrams about the building on the wall to the left of the bar. The room was great, and the lobby and reception are nice too. There are lots of vending machines, and the front desk sells pizza and alcohol outside bar hours. The bar serves breakfast and coffee, with Heineken on tap. You can borrow a pack of cards by leaving your ID. It sits beautifully inside Oosterpark, which has a lake, an interesting obstacle course, play equipment, a skatepark and a basketball/football cage. It takes about 40 minutes to walk to the centre.
