The food was amazing, and the service was attentive, with every dish explained. They use locally sourced ingredients where possible, and there’s plenty to choose from, including lots for vegans. Prices felt fair, and the quiet location added to the great atmosphere. This was the best food we had in Amsterdam. I took a photo of every course, then forgot when dessert was so good 😂
We had a wonderful meal, and the four-course offer is good value. The fresh ingredients were cooked and presented creatively, and there was plenty of food. The large, modern space didn’t feel crowded or noisy. Most of the diners seemed to be locals rather than tourists, at least for now.
The Entrepot in Amsterdam looks fancy at first glance, and I can see why people would recommend it. The dishes were skillfully put together, well cooked, and properly presented across the whole 8 course menu, but they lacked flavor. I kept wishing the chef had been braver with spices and given the food the sharper taste it deserved. A nice place for photos, but short on taste.
A perfect evening: excellent dinner and wines, a cool atmosphere, and very friendly staff. The owner and manager were both really amicable. The wild duck was awesome!
The food was awful, and I had an upset stomach afterwards. The quality was very poor for a four-course menu, and the service was really slow.
