We arrived around 12, planning to leave our bags and explore before check-in. Instead, we were greeted with a warm stroopwafel and, luckily, an early check-in. The staff were always kind and helpful. I was celebrating my birthday in Amsterdam and hadn’t expected anything, since I planned to spend the day out. They still left me a birthday card and a voucher for a free drink at the bar. That was such a thoughtful touch, and I really appreciated it. It’s a nice, quiet spot away from the busy city center, but easy to get around from. There’s a bus stop right beside the hotel with service to and from Amsterdam Centraal. From there, you can walk, bike, or take the tram or metro to other places.

The hotel is full of cool art, and the service was excellent. After a long walk in the cold, the deep, comfortable tub was just what I needed. It’s right by a bus line and next to a beautiful park. There’s also a brand new 15 screen movie theater and quite a few music venues.

We stayed in the XL Junior Suite, which was beautiful, with a spacious, modern bathroom and everything we needed. The room felt clean and welcoming, and clearly gets a lot of care. WestCord Art Hotel is in a great spot. It’s close enough to explore the city easily, but in a quieter neighborhood where we could relax after long days out. The central 22 bus line stops nearby, which made getting around simple. For a first visit to Amsterdam, I’d recommend it. We’d definitely stay again.

The location was just right for us, close to the places we wanted to explore but away from the busy center, so we slept well. Bus stops right outside made it quick to reach the train station, city center, or even the airport. We didn’t eat at the hotel because we wanted to make the most of the city, but the bar drinks were great and the service there was fantastic. The staff were all really friendly. Our room was clean, modern, spacious, and comfortable, with the essentials we needed. The bed was incredible after a day of exploring, and the bathroom had plenty of room to get ready. From the moment we arrived, the front desk team made us feel welcome and explained the services and things to do around Amsterdam. We were there for my partner’s birthday, and they gave us a complimentary drink for the bar, which was so lovely. I didn’t know what to expect when I booked, but I was blown away. I’d come back in a heartbeat.

We had a fabulous stay and made more lovely memories, even with the mixed weather we expected at this time of year. The hotel was amazing, and the staff were fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of hot and cold choices. We ate at the hotel one evening as well, and that food was delicious too. The location was perfect for the city center, with a bus stop just outside to the right of the entrance. Thanks for a lovely stay.
