She didn’t follow through on some of what she’d promised and even accused us of taking something from the accommodation. She seemed pleasant at the time, but once we got home it felt fraudulent. We realized she wouldn’t have returned the deposit if we hadn’t asked, and the amount wasn’t the full sum promised on Booking. If I could change one thing about our trip to the Netherlands, I’d choose somewhere else to stay. I’ve travelled all around the world and never experienced anything like it.

After staying all over the world, this was the worst experience I’ve had with a property host. The owner seemed willing to mislead us and take our money however she could. At check-in, we were told the extra 50 EUR was a deposit and would be returned to our bank account within a week if there was no damage. She didn’t say she’d need more information from us. Nearly three weeks passed before I contacted her about the money. She then said she needed our IBAN, which she hadn’t mentioned at check-in. Later she said she’d sent 50 EUR, but only 38 EUR reached our account. She chose to make us cover the intermediary bank fee, even though the intermediary bank acts for the sender’s bank and our bank had already charged us for the transfer. The listing clearly said the deposit would be returned in full. When I raised the shortfall, she accused us of taking drinks from the fridge without paying. That wasn’t true. We were at the property for only 9 hours, showered, slept, and left early for a flight from Eindhoven airport. After two months of repeatedly calling Booking customer service, sending emails, and going to the bank, we finally got our money back. If you book this accommodation, be prepared to spend time and money sorting things out.

It’s a cozy, cute place with lovely rooms that feel like home, and there’s a lovely yard too. Getting to the airport is very convenient, and buses also connect it to the center.

The host was lovely, and the service was good. There’s a beautiful garden in front of the room. Toilets and bathroom are shared. The price is neither good nor bad, it really depends on what else is available in the city center. You can’t get there without a car, and even cycling there is difficult.
