The dessert sampler was delicious and very generous, honestly more than two people could manage, so leave room for it. We came for dinner and really liked the atmosphere, the food, and the service in both English and Dutch. There were vegetarian and vegan choices too.

We were in the Van Hettinga suite, and the views were beautiful. The room felt so cosy, and both the bed and bathtub were really comfortable. It might be nice to have bathrobes and slippers for using the tub. We’d definitely visit again.

The suite was super nice for our overnight stay, and dinner was excellent. The hamburger was delicious, as were the fresh, golden fries on the side. We had a lovely visit and recommend it.

We arrived at 19:00 after booking a table and dishes for our company group of 16 in advance, and asking about a factuur. The first dish didn’t arrive until 21:30. They couldn’t serve the meat and vegetarian dishes at the same table, so our group had to split across two tables. At the end, the factuur cost an extra €17, which we hadn’t been told about. A terrible experience.

We loved the atmosphere and location when we visited with friends. The food was excellent, and the beers were tasty 😊. I’d recommend stopping by if you’re in Leeuwarden.
