Breakfast is a delicious start to the day, with fresh bread, fruit, and eggs cooked in different ways. It’s a small, charming, private place, with a front-door window looking out over the Leeuwarden canal and its pleasure boats and historic sailing vessels. A good fit for boating enthusiasts and overnight guests. The old town’s restaurants and museums are a 15-minute walk away. Just around the left-hand corner, about 150 meters on, there’s a fish stall serving Zoute Haring and Kibbeling every day.

The owners were welcoming and suggested some good restaurants. Our room was nice, breakfast was excellent, and the price was reasonable. It’s just a stone’s throw from the city center. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend them in Leeuwarden.

You can rent SUPs and set off right outside, choosing a route through the city or toward the forest. The city center is an easy walk, and by car it’s quick to reach plenty of other places in Friesland. We had a comfortable room and beds, and the hosts were very hospitable and helpful with finding hotspots. Breakfast was delicious and served at the time you choose, with four options. Wonderful place, highly recommended!

We were here for the weekend for the ITG festival, which was within walking distance. Friendly, laid-back people, a comfortable bed, and a great shower. Breakfast was delicious, and the mornings outside were lovely, looking out at the boats in the Prinsentuin. A solid 10!
