The Rebyl, Nijmegen, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

The hotel is not far from the city centre, and you can bring your dog. There’s a dog park just around the corner. Rooms are on the small side but adequate, though the place feels rather sterile and short on atmosphere. The breakfast buffet is okay, but there isn’t much variety. Rooms and beds are cleaned every three days, and that’s also how often towels are changed. Parking in front of the hotel is paid, but it’s free from 21:00 to 9:00. If you use a parking app and park before 21:00, set an alarm to renew it at 9:00 in the morning.

The service was excellent. Friendly, attentive staff made everything go smoothly and were willing to help throughout my stay. The Rebel is a striking hotel in Nijmegen, with its distinctive architectural character creating a memorable atmosphere. Rooms have high ceilings, contemporary decor, and a thoughtful design that feels both stylish and comfortable.

The Dutch breakfast costs 20 EUR, which feels a little steep, though there are coffee shops and bakeries nearby. The building and interior design are nice, and the rooms are comfortable and spacious. It was fairly quiet apart from some giant stomping around above my room for some unknown reason. The much-praised gym has (temporarily?) moved into a former guest room, so it’s a lot less fabulous for now.

A really cozy hotel right in the city center, with food, the cinema, shops, and easy transport all just minutes away. It’s newly renovated, so everything feels brand new and nice. I’ll definitely check in again on my next holiday!
