Hotel Sanders de Paauw

Good value if you can live with small rooms and little oversights, like the cleaning lady forgetting to leave towels. The family-oriented hotel serves breakfast only after 8am. Its restaurant is similarly unpretentious, fine for a quick meal. And definitely avoid the coffee, it comes in tanks like straight from an army field kitchen.

The restaurant has lovely outdoor seating overlooking the river, and I enjoyed dinner there. The staff in the restaurant are friendly and all speak English well. Special thanks to Alex. Breakfast was nice, though the hot options were limited. The hotel is cosy, small and clean, with an excellent central location. My room was on the small side, and the WiFi there rarely worked. Parking is limited, but the public car park behind the hotel costs 5€ a day.

The town is absolutely lovely for a stay. The hotel was comfortable, although we had drainage problems during our visit. The Aircon was set to an uncomfortable minimum of 23c, but it wasn't terrible. Hotel parking was hit and miss; the public car parks next door at €8 per 24hr or across the road at €5 per 24hr were good options.

We were 8 people, and the food was out of this world, cooked and plated perfectly. The staff were really well trained, and the dining area was clean with a great sense of style. This is a place you should visit when you're in Sluis. The Wifi was open and the speed was really good. Thank you for the good service.
