The room was clean and cozy, with a view of the park, and the bathroom felt bright and homey. The staff were friendly, and there was a quiet, comfortable place to spend the evening. The city location is excellent. The no. 17 tram is a minute’s walk away and takes three stops to the station. Pedestrian streets around the hotel have plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants, and the landmarks, museums and galleries of Den Haag are a short walk away. Room size and shape vary quite a bit. Some feel small and box-like, with low ceilings, though they’re very clean and clearly recently refurbished. Check the dimensions and room details carefully when booking, and be specific about what you want. A view of a flat roof or directly into other rooms across a courtyard doesn’t have the charm you might expect from a hotel by the park and palace. We were invited to upgrade for a 'palace view', but the view we’d requested and the hotel had confirmed didn’t come through, which caused confusion and upset on arrival. Guisi, the manager, handled it helpfully. Other staff seemed less proactive and friendly, with no eye contact or cheerful greeting when meeting or passing guests.

Breakfast was a real treat, with a rich international buffet and a good range of fresh options. It runs 7-10 on weekdays and 8-11 on weekends, so early risers and late sleepers are both covered. The lobby is beautiful, and the relaxed bar stays open until 11pm. The whole staff was attentive and professional, and Giusy especially made us feel at home with her warmth and kindness. The hotel has a welcoming, elegant feel from the moment you walk in. It’s right in the heart of The Hague, close to everything, yet remarkably calm and peaceful. We had a fantastic stay and can’t wait to return.

The lobby especially had a warm, modern style that we really liked, and the staff were friendly and helpful the whole time. Our room was spacious and clean. We stayed at this great hotel in the city center during our Hague trip, 23.03. - 27.03.26. Breakfast was good quality, with choices for vegetarians, vegans and meat lovers. We especially liked the cucumber-mint water. A very nice hotel for a good price.
