The restaurant meal was fine, with a wide choice including local dishes at reasonable prices, but my table was in a cold draft. Parking can be tricky, though a local had warned me and I found a spot. There are two 300 kW fast chargers, but the price per kWh is high. I didn’t realize the rooms were in a completely separate building, and mine was very cold. Even with three radiators set to 5, the maximum, there was no heat. Staff offered a mini heater used at reception, which was a 😳 option; a warm room would have made more sense. I tried a hot shower instead, but every few minutes the water went stone cold. The free WiFi reached 10 Mbps at best in either direction, which makes working difficult when everything is in the cloud. 5G reception was poor too, so don’t count on a hotspot. As a Van de Valk loyalty member, this was a bad experience and somewhere I’d avoid. It calls itself “exclusive,” but I’ve stayed at several Van der Valk hotels that were much better.

I attended a client’s 'away-day' and was impressed by the hotel overall. There was plenty of parking, the reception was friendly, and the hospitality was great all day. They served lots of snacks throughout the day, and lunch had a beautiful selection of dishes.

There was plenty of space in the comfortable, air-conditioned room, and the bathroom was amazing. You can get both dinner and breakfast on site, and both were great.

The food is super delicious, the staff are friendly, and the meal is good quality. The warm, beautiful atmosphere makes every visit lovely. For a couple of years now, we’ve travelled from Hamburg to visit family there, celebrating birthdays, Christmas, and all kinds of special occasions. We simply love it ☺️
