Seljestad Cottages worked out as a good deal for our two-night stay, and I'd book again. The location is very convenient for hiking Trolltunga. We stayed in nr. 7, with a private parking space beside each cottage. Ours had a kitchen that we used for meals, though the cottages are a little worn and could use renovations. When we checked in, the lady host tossed our keys down from her balcony. Bring your own bed linen and towels, as the booking description says, or you'll pay extra. We had sleeping bags and towels, which worked perfectly. The property has no Wi-Fi, also clearly stated in the description. At checkout, you have to clean the cottage for the next guests. A few small renovations could make this place really awesome 😎

The place was worn out and dirty. Booking charged us right away, and only afterward did they tell us check-in was until 11pm. We arrived late and found nobody there, so we spent that night at another hotel and came back for our second night since we'd already paid. They refused to refund the night we missed. As “compensation,” they offered free beddings, but they were dirty and full of holes 🤢🤢🤢. Highly NOT recommended.

The view and location are great, and the price was modest. But the cottage smelled, the water wasn't drinkable, and the nearby road was very noisy.

It's rundown, poor, and there's no view. You get what you pay for, but the current prices are ridiculous. Two years ago, this would only have been worth 40-50€. You can find somewhere better.
