Hafjell Resort Alpin Apartments Solsiden

The view across to the opposite mountain, including the Olympia man, is lovely. The apartment has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a sauna in the first bathroom, and a main living area with a kitchen. The kitchen has a sink, dishwasher, four-burner stove, and a fridge with a small freezer. There's also a hallway and stairs leading up to the entrance. The master bedroom has a double bed and drawer, while the second has bunk beds. It’s a peaceful ski apartment, but the optional final cleaning was really poor: we arrived to dirt under the beds and an unclean fridge. I think the photos were rearranged, so their numbers no longer line up with the descriptions.

We couldn’t stay at Alpin because of COVID, but they refunded us right away without asking questions. With so many hotels and resorts not doing the same for customers, I really appreciated how understanding they were. Hopefully we’ll get the chance to stay there someday. Best wishes.

I stayed for about 20 days, just as early winter was beginning. The snowmaking machines had started up, and the surrounding nature was wonderful. During my visit in November 2018, we learned that one of the most recent Winter Olympics had been held there.

It’s a lovely, nicely decorated place with good equipment. The sofa, curtains, and rugs were quite dusty and seemed not to have been cleaned in a while, so I couldn’t give it five stars.
