There was plenty of parking near the entrance, and the room turned out bigger than we expected. It was peaceful, with lots of outlets, warm shower water, and heated bathroom floors. We also got lucky with the best view, in the room at the end of the second-floor corridor. The hotel is basic, but clean and nice, and the staff were friendly and relaxed in a good way. Breakfast came with the room. The chef made us a simple vegan oatmeal breakfast and was so kind that we couldn't complain, though some fruit would have been nice. The price was lower than most nearby options, though still not cheap. Our TV didn't work, but that didn't matter to us. The pillows were much too thick, and we wished they were flatter. There's no kettle, microwave, or fridge, so it wouldn't suit a longer stay. The location is an easy drive from the city, but probably inconvenient without a car.

The staff really went out of their way to make our stay excellent, and this was the highlight of our vacation. We were here last summer during a heritage trip from the US. My husband's ancestors had been lendsmen at this very location many centuries ago, so it was a special place for us.

The view and room were lovely, and the location was great. The staff are really friendly, and vegan breakfast is available.

The scenery was quite nice, and the staff made us feel welcome with a real focus on service. We had proper food here. The Raspeball/Komle tasted just as good as Grandma's, and although it may seem a bit pricey, it's absolutely worth it.
