Voss Resort Bavallstunet

There was plenty to enjoy around the hostel, including a mini library, pool table, piano, and a big yard running down to the fjord. We liked sitting on the back terrace, too, with its tables and chairs facing the water. Our room was neat and clean. The bathroom was the awkward part: it was small, and shower water could escape through the low gap under the door. A better layout might have helped. Still, we had a great stay.

The cottage had stunning views and a beautiful setting, and we enjoyed staying there with my family. We came with a tourist group in July for 4 night. The weather was perfect, though a little cold and foggy. A few practical things were missing: there was no hair dryer, which was inconvenient in the cold, and the small rooms had no wardrobe or cupboard. There also wasn't a shelf or stand in the shower for shampoo and body wash.

The apartment had a nice view and a well equipped kitchen, but it wasn't very clean when we arrived. We even found a women's sanitary napkin on the bed. The cleaning service was 75€ and sheets cost 16€ p. p. Those prices felt horendous, and it seemed like the hotel drew guests in with relatively good rates, then tried to squeeze every last penny out of them through those charges.

The bed sheet, pillows, and some kitchen items weren't clean. The place is very old and needs maintenance. We also had to pay €20 for each person for linen and towels, since rent doesn't cover them. Before checkout, they requested that we clean the house, dishes, and chimney.
