Tananger Apartment Hotel

There was nobody on site during our stay, even though reception listed office hours, and we could only reach staff by phone. We also had no room cleaning. Changing the linen would have cost extra, or we had to wash the sheets and towels ourselves, and we were expected to take out our own rubbish. The fridge was dirty when we arrived, and there was a sticker on the door peephole. What kind of hotel is that? The room was tiny for two and had just one chair. We had to eat breakfast on the bed because the table was too small and the microwave was taking up space on it. There was no cutlery or cups. The mattress and heated bathroom floor were the only good things. The room types hadn't been made clear during booking, so in an apartment hotel we assumed we'd get an apartment with a kitchen, not a basic room without anything. When we asked to change, they said we'd have to pay a surcharge. They didn't offer an upgrade, even though the hotel seemed empty. The hotel is in an industrial area, already noisy around 5am/6am. It's a poor choice if you want to relax or be close to town or other sights. The price, service and comfort just don't add up. We've never stayed somewhere like this and can't recommend it if you want a clean place, a bit of comfort and friendly service.

There's a fully stocked supermarket right next door. The apartments are set up for self catering, with small kitchens, and were clean with friendly staff. It's 30 minutes from Stavanger and 15 minutes from the airport.

It's a modern hotel, but there's no breakfast or dinner. Depending on which room you choose, you may get a kitchen with an oven, dishwasher and cooktop.

Really nice service, and the rooms have everything I needed for a business trip. Thanks to the hotel staff for being so kind. I hope to come back!
