Lofoten Rorbuer

A huge thank you to the staff at Lofoten Rorbuer Svolvær for taking us in and treating us like family. My friend and I arrived in Lofoten at 10:30 pm on a beautiful scenic ferry, then realized we’d accidentally booked the same dates for the following month. Even though the hotel was full, the staff and owners at Rorbuer gave up their own beds so we could sleep. I’ll be back without question. The cozy layout made us feel right at home, and the waterfront views of Lofoten were stunning. The room price stays the same throughout the year, which is hard to beat. Jett & Simon

We spent three nights here and are already talking about coming back. It’s an easy, short walk to Svolvær center and close to the Sherpa stairs, yet the place itself is peaceful. Our room was bright and clean, with a lovely view over the seaside. The owner and staff were exceptionally helpful and kind.

We got back from our 5am hike to Floya, just a 7-minute walk away, and it was such a relief to relax in this warm, cozy apartment. It’s nicely decorated and has all the useful things we needed, including a dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, and stovetop. The terrace has a beautiful view of the mountains and harbor. We arrived late after strong winds, hail, and a flight delay, but the friendly receptionist waited for us. Late checkout at 12 was a lovely bonus. We’d happily recommend staying here.

I first came by to rent a bike and ended up staying for the room and the phenomenal service. The staff were personable and really helpful, and made renting a bike for several days easy. My room was comfortable and clean, and cost a lot less than most nearby places. The harbor view is worth the 10-15 minute walk to the town center.
