Beautiful Kathmandu Hotel

The staff were so welcoming and ready to help with anything, and the service was impeccable. We had good Wi-Fi, a nice breakfast, and free bottles of water whenever we needed them. Although it’s right in the middle of Thamel, the street is peaceful at night. The rooms were spacious, clean, and a good size. Highly recommend, and thank you ❤️

The rooftop pool was a fun spot, and the people here were amazing. For the price, it was hard to complain. We liked it enough to come back for another stay after our trek. The hotel is very central for walking around Thamel but just off the main streets, so nights were quieter. We first stayed here when we arrived in Kathmandu, and the staff were kind and helpful from the start. As an all-female group, we felt safe coming back in the evenings: someone was on the desk all night and opened the door for us. Three of us shared a room with an extra cot, which was as comfortable as the other single beds. The manager arranged taxis, excursions, and buses, and generally looked after us. Breakfast was included and tasty, and the waitress was attentive, bringing pots of masala and coffee in the morning. Thank you, Beautiful!

The staff were the best part, so kind and helpful. We also had a clean, spacious room on a quiet street in Thamel. The rooftop swimming pool was refreshing, with a great view across the city.

We’ve stayed at BKH before and after our EBC trek, for a couple of days after the trek, and again after coming back from Pokhara before flying out of Kathmandu. Each time we returned, they treated us like family and took care of everything with a smile. Sujit and the team were excellent. They kept our extra luggage, lent us a hairdryer, and quickly helped arrange transportation. We first stayed there four years ago, and came back in October. With so many places in Thamel, we chose The Beautiful Kathmandu Hotel for its fair price, cleanliness, quiet setting just off the beaten path, and a management team that turned out to be such a happy surprise. The staff are always smiling and helpful. I/we will definitely stay again next time we’re in Nepal, and highly recommend them. Thank you, Sujit and BKH!
